 | Dental Inlays & Onlays in TorontoAnd dental or tooth inlay is similar to a dental filling, in that it repairs damage within the edge of the tooth’s surface (or the cusp of the tooth). It is a custom-made filling, completed over two visits. At your first visit, the dentist will clean the tooth, removing any decay or damage. Your dentist will take a mold of the area, and then use a temporary filling until the custom inlay is made. On your second visit, the temporary filling is removed, and the inlay is bonded in place. A dental onlay is similar to a dental inlay, but covers a larger area of the tooth, extending past the cusp. |
